Shortly before 7 a.m. on Thursday, November 9, 2023, an alleged Israeli airstrike struck the al-Baraka area in Deir al-Balah in the Gaza Strip, killing at least one and as many as eight people, and injuring “several.”

Shehab Agency reported the incident at its Twitter/X account at 7.04 a.m, marking the information as “urgent.” A number of local media outlets reported that the airstrike struck a “group of citizens”, killing a young man. @PlusQuds later tweeted that eight people had been killed, although all other media outlets reported one civilian killed.

Where sources identified a belligerent, all pointed to the Israeli military.
