Two Palestinian civilians from the al-Shanti family were reportedly killed when an alleged Israeli bombing struck their home located near al-Quds Open University in the al-Nasr area of Gaza City shortly before 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 8, 2023. A number of civilians were also reportedly injured after the alleged Israeli shelling of the area.

News of the deadly strike spread rapidly across social media platforms, with several media outlets, including Palinfoair, Qudsn, and Paldf, reporting the deaths on Twitter/X around 6:30 a.m. The sources confirmed that the bombing had claimed the lives of two members of the al-Shanti family in their own home.

On Facebook, Al Jazeera Masr reported injuries after the shelling of the area in the vicinity of Al-Quds Open University. WAFA news and other social media users also corroborated this information.

Daqiqah news shared a photograph of Palestine Red Crescent Society (P.R.C.S) ambulances making their way through the area to reach the bombed residence.

Despite the reporting on the incident, no additional details emerged about the victims’ identities, ages, or any potential survivors.

Where sources identified belligerents, all sources attributed the bombing to the Israeli military.
