On Friday, 15 December 2024, alleged Israeli drone strikes hit Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahia, in the northern Gaza Strip. Reports indicate that at least four civilians were injured, including two ambulance drivers, one hospital worker, and one patient who had been previously injured.

According to Safa News and Shehab Agency on X,  the injuries occurred when Israeli quadcopter drones reportedly fired on ambulances in front of the Kamal Adwan Hospital, which had been attempting to evacuate wounded individuals to Gaza City and deliver medical supplies. The two drivers reportedly sustained moderate injuries, along with a hospital staff member and a wounded patient inside one of the ambulances. Facebook user Mohamed Alaoui provided a similar account, stating that the ambulances were struck while patients were still inside.

Al Jazeera Mubasher on Facebook posted video footage of the aftermath of the attack, showing smoke and debris surrounding ambulances outside Kamal Adwan Hospital, injured individuals being treated inside, and the hospital’s director stating, “We are living under constant bombardment,” while confirming that medical personnel had been wounded.

Additionally, Safa News reported that Israeli drone attacks had continued against hospital infrastructure, including the oxygen station, water tanks and the hospital’s power generators.

Further information and the identity of the four wounded civilians were not disclosed in any of the sources reporting on the attack.

Where sources identified a belligerent, all sources attributed the attack to the Israeli military.
