Airwars Assessment
Shortly before 8:35 a.m. on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, two civilians were killed during an alleged Israeli drone strike in Al-Bureij Camp in the center of the Gaza Strip.
No further details are available regarding the civilians, whose identities are currently undetermined.
The incident was mostly covered on social media by local media outlets, including Shehab Agency, which was the first to report the incident at 8:35 a.m. It was also reported by multiple international media sources, such as outlets from Lebanon and Jordan on X/Twitter and Facebook, many of which quoted a statement issued by Al-Jazeera.
While most sources placed the location of the incident in the Al-Bureij Camp, some further stated that the incident occurred east of the camp.
All available sources described the incident as a drone strike, and where sources identified the belligerent, all attributed the drone strike to the Israeli military.
Due to the repetitive nature of the information reported by the sources and the lack of information on the victims, Airwars has graded the strike status of the incident as “single source claim”, and the civilian harm status as “weak”.
