On Tuesday, March 18, 2025, an alleged Israeli strike hit the Qalibu area behind the Sheikh Zayed Towers in the north of Gaza, killing a number of displaced people.

The incident was reported by @Sa7atPlBreaking on X/Twitter. Only one more source, namely Activist Mohammed Saeed, wrote on Facebook that the explosion was also heard in the vicinity of the area, behind the Sheikh Zayed Towers, and that shrapnel reached the tents and shelters of displaced people. In addition, he said that the nature of the explosion was still unknown.

Where sources identified a belligerent, one source attributed the strike to Israeli forces. As only one source attributed the strike to the Israeli military and only one reported on the civilian harm, Airwars has graded the strike status of the incident as “single source claim”, and the civilian harm status of the incident as “weak.”
