Airwars Assessment
On Tuesday, March 18, 2025, a 56-year-old woman, Buthaina Ahmed Suleiman al-Brahma (al-Barahmeh), was killed as a result of an alleged Israeli strike on the tent of the Barhoum family in Khan Younis Governorate without prior warning, according to the profile of the victim on the website Genocide in Gaza, which has a list of “martyrs” of Israeli forces.
While there is limited information about this incident and the victim, both Genocide in Gaza and Shireen Monitor stipulated that Buthaina was a 56-year-old resident of Khan Younis. Additionally, as per Ali Hassan on Facebook, Buthaina’s name was included in a list of citizens who arrived at Nasser Medical Complex after a series of alleged Israeli strikes across Khan Younis and Rafah.
Where possible, names have been matched with the Palestinian Ministry of Health (MoH) lists, which include national ID numbers. Airwars is matching individuals to the first list where their name appeared. In regard to this incident, Buthaina’s name was matched to the eighth ‘Palestinian Ministry of Health List of Fatalities in Gaza’ list.
Where sources identified belligerents, all sources attributed the incident to the Israeli military.
