Two fishermen, Mahmoud Nasser Mahfouz and Mohammed al-Zant, were reportedly attacked and injured by an alleged Israeli strike on their boat while working at sea north of Gaza City before 10 a.m. on 26 April 2025.

Palestinian agency Safa, alongside 10 local media and sources, reported the incident, informing that the two fishermen were wounded by shrapnel from the bomb fired by a quadcopter drone. Al-ayyam media’s report on the next day indicated that the quadcopter drone had opened fire at the two fishermen and wounded them. @Zakaria Baker indicated on a Facebook post that the fishermen’s health state was moderate.

All sources tracked attributed the strike to Israeli forces. This assessment will be updated if more detailed information emerges.
