On Tuesday, June 10th 2025, at least seven civilians, including three children, were killed and at least 32 civilians were injured during an alleged Israeli drone strike in the Al-Da’wa area northeast of Nuseirat in Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip, reportedly while waiting for humanitarian aid trucks to pass.
The names of seven people killed in the attack were identified by local sources. 23-year-old Salama Youssef Salama al-Sawarka , 22-year-old Ramez Youssef Ali al-Lawh, Muhammad Ismail Ismail Abu al-Kas and 29-year-old Muhammad Ismail Abu Amra were reported killed, as were children Yassin Ahmed Muharab Fayyad and 15-year-old Ahmed Mohammed Nasrallah Abu Amra. 19-year-old Khaled Ashraf al-Kafarna from Beit Hanoun was also killed.
Information regarding the deceased was reported throughout the night and following morning as family members and friends of the deceased used social media to express their grief and share condolences.
Muhammad Ismail Abu Amra’s family posted on Facenook about his passing, and included two images showing a bearded young man with short hair. The first image featured him smiling beside a white car, while the second placed him inside a mosque. The following morning, the family announced the passing of another family member, a young boy named Ahmed Mohammed Nasrallah Abu Amra. The image included in this post depicted a smiling young boy with short hair, wearing a black and white checkered jacket.
In light of the young boy Yassin Ahmed Muharab Fayyad’s passing, Dr. Abu al-Abd Fayyad extended his sincere condolences in a Facebook post to the boy’s family. It included an image of Yassin before the incident, showing a picture of a young boy with short hair and a black sweater.
The day after the incident, on June 11th 2015, the family, Zaher al-Kafarna Abu al-Walid, Umm al-Walid and others, expressed their sadness over the passing of the young man Khaled Ashraf al-Kafarna, a son and relative, through a Facebook post, including an image of a smiling young boy with short curly hair wearing a green jacket.
In the photographs of Muhammad Abu Amra and Ahmed Abu Amra that have been shared, the Abu Amra family clan logo appears as an overlay.
The incident was covered by local media platforms, including Msdr News, Al-Araaby TV and the Palestinian Press Agency (Safa News Agency). PalinfoAr, LaseOneFRMaybe and Lamees_ahmad1 were posting about the drone strike on X. Saif al-Bahri reported that nine people had been killed; the remaining two names were not publicly available. Regarding injuries, LastOneFrMaybe posted on X that Al-Awda Hospital in Nuseirat had received three injured civilians. This was followed by a Facebook post by Msdr News reporting 32 injured casualties. After Al-Araby TV and Lamees Ahmad posted on X about several civilians being injured in a drone strike, Hussein Safuri’s Facebook post also mentioned 3 injured civilians received by Al-Awda Hospital. The source added three images depicting three injured men receiving medical treatment at a local clinic. PalInfoAr tweeted that Al-Awda Hospital had received 45 injured civilians, the highest number reported. Khalef al-Katea reported 18 injured casualties. Safa News Agency initially stated that three injured civilians had been received by Al-Awda Hospital but later updated their report to 32. As all of the sources reporting the number of injuries got their information from the same source, Al-Awda Hospital, at various stages of their reporting, a minimum and maximum of 45 injuries has been recorded.
According to most sources, the Israeli drone strike occurred in the Al-Da’wa area in the central Gaza Strip.
The majority of sources stated that several Israeli drones launched several bombs at a group of people. Facebook user “Khalefelkatea” additionally noted the presence of gunfire and stated that the attack took place while civilians were waiting for aid trucks. Similarly, Hazem Mazid and Saif al-Bahri indicated in a Facebook post that the civilian casualties had been present during the passage of aid trucks on Salah al-Din Road in Deir al-Balah city.
Where possible, names have been matched with the Palestinian Ministry of Health (MoH) lists, which include national ID numbers. Airwars is matching individuals to the first list where their name appeared. In regard to this incident, names are matched to the ninth and tenth ‘Palestinian Ministry of Health List of Fatalities in Gaza’ lists, which were released on June 23 and July 16, 2025, respectively.
Where sources identified a belligerent, all sources attributed the strike to Israeli military forces.

Reports of the incident mention the area of Al-Da’wa (منطقة الدعوة) to the northeast of the Nuseirat Refugee Camp (مخيم النصيرات). Due to limited satellite imagery and information available to Airwars, we were unable to find boundaries for the neighbourhood and to verify the location further.
