Airwars Assessment
On Sunday, 8 June 2025, at least one civilian was killed, and other civilians were injured in an alleged Israeli attack on aid workers at the Nuseirat Refugee Camp in Deir al-Balah, the Gaza Strip.
At around 11:30 p.m. M local time, @PalinfoAr and Al-Mayadeen News reported that one civilian had been killed, and “several” had been injured in what they termed an “Israeli attack on aid workers east of Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip.”
Facebook user Omar Omar posted that the casualties occurred as a result of “Israeli bombing of aid workers” and corroborated that one civilian had been killed, along with “others” injured. Several local news outlets and other users on social media, including Sawt El Mada news, SAWA News Agency, and Facebook users Abu Mahmoud Al-Azaizeh Al-Mansoom, and Memo Ca, reposted the news about the incident, but sources did not explicitly clarify whether the civilian casualties included aid workers.
In the absence of a specific number of civilian casualties, Airwars has placed a casualty range of 2-2 for civilians injured in this incident, based on source descriptions of “several” injuries.
Sources did not provide names or further details of the civilian casualties in the incident.
Where sources identified the belligerent, all sources attributed the incident to Israeli forces.
Due to the repetitive nature of the sources, Airwars has graded the civilian harm status of the incident as “single source claim” and “weak.”
