On the 30th September 2025, it was reported that two people were killed and dozens injured after a car/tank bomb allegedly planted and detonated by the Israeli military exploded in the Al-Mashahra area of the Al-Tuffah neighbourhood, northeast of Gaza City.

A correspondent of Al-Araby channel reported the incident at 9:05 a.m., marking the information as “urgent.” Later, this information was corroborated by other sources, including Twitter/X accounts @F24online and Shehab Agency.

@MalaMimalamy reported that the two bodies arrived at the Baptist hospital. Although no names were provided in reporting, one post explained that a man had died as a result of shrapnel from the explosion. While most sources mentioned injuries, the news website www.al-ayyam claimed that “dozens” were injured.

@watch explained how they felt lucky to be alive after witnessing a man who had gone out to get necessities with his daughter die at the scene as a result of a car bomb. A video is attached to the post, which shows people crowding around a commotion in a market. The video looks to have been taken in the morning.

The AM Safa correspondent explained how the incident was an attempt to destroy citizen homes, with multiple sources adding that a bulldozer was reportedly loaded with tons of explosives, causing the explosion. Some sources, however, claimed that “a tank laden with tons of explosive” was detonated by the Israeli military.
