Airwars Assessment
On October 10, 2025, a child was injured by alleged Israeli gunfire north of Hamad Town in southern Gaza.
At 15:53, a Safa correspondent reported a young girl’s injury as a result of gunfire. Several other independent sources on Facebook and Twitter/X confirmed that the shooting took place north of Hamad Town, northwest of Khan Younis.
Five others sources – all posting to Facebook or Twitter – also reported on the injury. However, as all sources reported the same information, this incident has been graded as a single-source-claim. This will be updated should additional information become available.
Where sources identified the belligerent, all sources attributed the shooting to the Israeli military.
Geolocation Notes
Reports of the incident mention the neighbourhood of Hamad Town (مشروع اسكان حمد) to the northwest of Khan Younis (خان يونس), for which the generic coordinates are: 31.375589, 34.317638. The generic coordinates provided by Airwars for Hamad Town are outside the boundaries of the ‘Yellow Line’ officially published by the Israeli military on October 14, 2025. Due to limited satellite imagery and information available to Airwars, we were unable to verify the location further
