Airwars Assessment
Shortly before 2:49 p.m. on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, an undetermined number of civilians were injured during an alleged Israeli drone strike east of Deir al-Balah, in the central Gaza Strip.
According to multiple sources, civilians were injured from the grenades and/or bombs thrown from a drone. However, none of the sources indicated the exact number of wounded. At the time of writing, details regarding the identities of the individuals injured were not available.
In addition to numerous private social media users, the incident was reported by several local media outlets, including the independent news outlet Al-Hadath, the Hamas-affiliated outlets Palestinian Information Center and Shehab News Agency, and the Palestinian Authority affiliated Al-Kufiyah TV. The Palestinian Information Center reported the incident at Twitter/X at 2:49 p.m., marking the information as urgent.
All available sources stated that the incident occurred east of Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip and described the strike as a drone strike. The Free November Badisians/Badisian Revolution, an Algerian Facebook group, further mentioned that the strike was conducted by a quadcopter.
Where sources identified a belligerent, all sources attributed the attack to the Israeli military.
Due to the repetitive nature of the reporting and lack of detailed information on injuries, Airwars has graded the strike status of the incident as “single source claim” and the civilian status of the incident as “weak.”
