Airwars Assessment
A young man, Raouf Iyad Moussa Obeid, was killed when he was allegedly shot by Israeli forces near Kuwait roundabout, south of Gaza City, Gaza on or before February 20, 2026.
Hamla Kaddour, in a post announcing Raouf’s death, included images of Raouf before and after his death. Walid al-Harkali mourned his “dear cousin” Raouf, adding that in death, he would be able “to join his brothers Rashid and Suhail” who had died – or been killed – prior. Abu Qusay al-Khanshiri emphasised that though he was dead, Raouf’s “memory and legacy will remain forever in our hearts.”
According to Tariq Musleh, Raouf was from the Shuja’iyya neighborhood. One source, @Bisan_Shrafi, referred to him as having “been missing for four days” but it is unclear whether this indicates that he was killed prior. Based on this information, a date range of February 16-20 has been recorded.
Where sources identified a belligerent, all sources attributed the shooting to the Israeli military.
