Shortly before 1:38 p.m. on 28 February 2026, two people were reportedly injured by alleged Israeli naval bombardment off the coast of Sheikh Ajlin, south of Gaza City in the Gaza Strip.
@quds_feed was the first found to report the incident at 1:38 p.m, marking the information as “urgent.” No other information was provided about the victims.
Multiple local sources, including @ShehabAgency and @yaffa_ps, also reported the incident. As all the sources provided the same information, this incident has been graded as a “single source claim” and “weak” until additional information is found.
Geolocation Notes
Reports of the incident mention the area of Sheikh Ajilin (منطقة الشيخ عجلين) to the southwest of Gaza City (مدينة غزة). Due to limited satellite imagery and information available to Airwars, we were unable to find boundaries for the neighbourhood and to verify the location further. The generic coordinates for Sheikh Ajilin are: 31.501667, 34.416667.
