On 3 March 2026, at least one person was killed by an alleged Israeli strike on a tent sheltering displaced civilians in the center of Khan Younis in the Gaza Strip.
In a Facebook post, the Palestinian Information Center reported on the ‘Israeli army’s bombing of a displaced persons’ tent in the center of Khan Yunis.’ The tents in Khan Younis were sheltering people displaced from other parts of Gaza, likely from evacuation zones in the north of Gaza.
ShehabAgency, a local news outlet, referred to at least one civilian killed by the bombing. No sources were found that identified the person.
According to @Elmokhtalaat, ambulance crews were on their way to the scene shortly after the incident.
Hamla Kaddour, a local source, posted an image of airstrikes in the night sky, possibly depicting the attack in Khan Younis.
Where a belligerent was identified, all sources pointed to the Israeli military.
