On 28 March 2026, two employees sustained minor injuries in a declared Iranian airstrike on the industrial facilities of Aluminium Bahrain (Alba) located in the town of Askar in the Southern Governorate of Bahrain.
A statement released by Aluminium Bahrain (Alba) through the Bahrain News Agency (BNA) confirmed that the facility was struck on March 28th, resulting in two minor injuries among its workforce. The company noted that it was actively assessing the physical damage to its infrastructure while prioritizing employee safety and operational continuity. International media outlets, including Reuters and CNN, corroborated the details, highlighting that the strikes were part of a broader regional escalation that simultaneously affected industrial hubs in neighboring countries.
On March 29, Al Jazeera reported that “in a statement carried by Iran’s state broadcaster IRIB overnight on Sunday, the IRGC claimed the sites targeted on Saturday were linked to the United States military.” IRGC-associated Tasnim News also released a statement by the IRGC regarding the attack: “Following the malicious actions of the American-Zionist enemy in targeting the industrial infrastructure of our beloved country from the southern littoral states of the Persian Gulf, the fighters of the IRGC Aerospace Force and Navy carried out a hybrid and targeted operation, effectively hitting two industries associated with and connected to the military and aerospace industries of the US in the region, including the Emirates Aluminum (EMAL) factory in the UAE and the Aluminum Bahrain (Alba) factory in Bahrain, with missiles and drones.”
Airwars has graded this incident as ‘declared’ as Tasnin News, which is offiliated with the IRGC, confirmed the Iranian military’s attack on the Aluminum Bahrain factory.
