One or two children died and between two and six civilians were injured after an alleged YPG mortar strike on Ceylanpınar in Şanlıurfa, Turkey on October 10th 2019, according to local media sources.
The official Twitter account of the municipality of Ceylanpınar (@cpbelediyesi) reported that the 11-year-old boy Elif Terim died of his injuries. However, @Burak40188428 said the victim was female and published a picture of a little girl.
@yakup_alkis1 tweeted an image of two children – male and female – reporting that they died.
Haber Sanliurfa reported two killed. According to SoYeni Safak, six civilians were injured.
Two brothers, aged 13 and 15, were among the injured. They were playing in their house when mortar shelling hit their home, according to SoYeni Safak. Sozcu reported that the attack hit three houses, among which the house of the boys. The brothers were taken to the hospital.
