At least two civilians, a pregnant woman and her child, were killed and four to seven other civilians, including three children and two to three women, were injured in alleged Israeli strikes on the Al Tanoor neighborhood, east of Rafah on May 13, 2021.
Al Mezan reported that Hour Mumen Al-Zamli, 3 (other sources put her age at 1 and a half), and her five-month pregnant mother, Kholoud Fuad Al-Shaer, 26, were killed, while six others were injured, including three children and two women. The strike took place at approximately 7:40pm and involved a two-story house in Attanour neighborhood which belongs to Jamal Ismail Al-Zamli and is home to two families made up of 12 persons.
A post by Sahar.elshaer, said to be a cousin of Kholoud, wrote that Khouloud was a student at the Islamic University and that he was planning to visit her after Ramadan but now wouldn’t get the opportunity.
Al Shabab Radio put the number of injuries in the strikes at four, along with the death of one woman. Defence for Children – Palestine provided the toll of seven civilians injured, including three children, and that the wounded were transported to Abu Yousef Al-Najjar hospital for treatment.
Al Mezan added that there was no prior warning to the strike and that the home of Jamal Ismail Al-Zamli was completely destroyed. All of the sources pointed to Israel as the culprit.

Reports of the incident mention the Al Tanoor (التنور) neighborhood, east of Rafah (رفح), for which the generic coordinates are: 31.265309, 34.269018. Due to limited satellite imagery and information available to Airwars, we were unable to verify the location further.
