Airwars assessment
Between two to three civilians, including at least one girl, had been reportedly injured by an alleged Israeli artillery attack or airstrike on the Al-Maghazi refugee camp during the evening of May 14th, 2021.
Two civilians had been injured according to Safa Press Agency. Shehab Agency reported that three civilians had been affected in the attack instead. Of those injured, one girl who resided the area suffered minor wounds, according to Al Haq News.
Several reports identified the impacted location as a two-storey house belonging to Mohammed Qatamish.
Safa Press Agency reported that the attacks happened at 19:10, while Al Haq reported they took place at 21:30. The house was reportedly partially damaged. Video footage shows the detonation of explosive material in a residential building.
The sources made contradicting claims on whether an Israeli airstrike or artillery caused the damage. The Palestinian Centre for Human Rights reported that two missiles flew into the two-storey house. Safa Press Agency claimed instead that Israeli artillery fired “a number of shells”. @rawankim reported that the attack occurred “without warning”.
The incident occured in the evening.
