Two engineering employees were injured by a mine explosion allegedly planted by Russian forces in Derhachi on April 8, 2022.

According to the Kharkiv Human Rights Group, two employees of the Dergachivsky REM were injured when their service pick-up truck hit a mine on a dirt road. Both employees were taken to the hospital and underwent surgery for their injuries.

057.ua added that the employees were power engineers on their way to eliminate emergency damage to the power grid, describing them as “Kharkivoblenergo” specialists. The press service of the city council described the aftermath of the explosion as a “heap” of iron remained from the car.

Politeka News was the only source to directly attribute the mine to Russia, while the other sources that reported on the incident did not identify who was responsible.
