On April 15th, 2022, one civilian, a man, was reported injured after an alleged Russian shelling of Sarzhyn Yar in Kharkiv.

As a result of the shelling, three private houses reportedly caught on fire. The press service of the regional State Emergency Service told Suspline that one man was reportedly injured but “refused hospitalization.” Kharkiv Today stated that “no casualties” were reported.

According to Suspline Kharkiv, the area of the fire was almost 1500 square meters in the private sector near Sarzhyn Yar, and resulted in three houses and a garage catching fire. A house with a 700 square meter area was burned to the ground. The roof and second floor of another 600 meter house burned down, and the third affected house had one of its rooms, a garage, and a car burned down.

In the park area of Sarzhyn Yar, Status Quo reported that “several trees fell down, paths and benches were damaged.”

Kharkiv Today reported that The State Emergency Service of Ukraine received a message about the fire at 10:26, and the fire was completely extinguished only at 14:10.

Eight fire trucks and 40 rescuers were sent to the scene.

All sources alleged Russian responsibility for the strike.
