Two civilians, a man and a woman, were killed by alleged Russian forces shelling on residential buildings and on a local playground in the Osnovianskyi district in Kharkiv, on April 18th, 2022.
A statement from the Ministry of the Defense of Ukraine declared that Russian forces shelled residential buildings and playgrounds. Hromadske News reported that two civilians were killed, a man and a woman, when Russian shelling began around 11:50am. Numerous homes were damaged and destroyed.
Obozrevatel News described the two victims as dying “on the spot”, as Russian shells hit residential buildings and neighboring homes were damaged. Tweets from @black_cerber, 2CrimeaUA1, @HromadskeUA, and @dw__ukranian all issued similar reports including images of the damage.
