One civilian was killed and another, a woman, was wounded after a missile shell allegedly launched by the Israeli Defense Forces fell on a house in Jabal Qlibo, North Gaza on May 10th 2023.
One man who was killed was identified as 51-year-old Ahmed Muhammed Ghanmi Al-Shabaki by the Al Mezan Centre for Human Rights, Sama, Al-Abiroun News and Twitter user @Pal_Shaheed. According to the Al Mezan Centre for Human Rights his wife, 50-year-old Yusra Othman Abdullah Al-Shabaki was seriously injured in the attack. Both were taken to the Indonesian Hospital following the attack, and Ahmed was later buried at Al-Falluja cemetery.
The strike, which occured in the early afternoon, was a result of a missile shell hitting a house according to the Al Mezan Centre for Human Rights who also reported material damage to neighbouring houses.
Al Mezan Center for Human Rights, Shebab News, @WANpalestine and twitter user @juawdeh attributed the shelling to the Israeli Defense Forces. Al Mezan Center for Human Rights situated the attack at approximately 2pm local time.
