Suspected US drones killed up to six people, including al Qaeda logistician Abu Wafa al Saudi, and wounded another four, in an attack on a house, a variety of sources reported. One media, however, claimed that the victims were innocent.
Dawn cited locals who said that the suspected US drone had fired three missiles at a house owned by tribesman Ferman Dawar (also killed) near the Afghan border at about 4pm.
The death toll spanned among the sources from five to six, while four, reportedly, were left seriously wounded.
Some reported that all the six victims were Arabs, though the South Asia Terrorism Portal claimed that the killed were “two suspected Arab nationals and four Dawar tribal militants.”
As the only one, GeoTV’s report suggested that the killed and wounded were civilians: “guided missile fired by spy plane hit Farman Dawar home killing six innocent people including him (Farman) and leaving four seriously injured.”
All sources blamed the American forces for carrying out the strikes, though the strike has not been confirmed by the US.
