On the morning of Tuesday, 3rd December 2024, at least three medical personnel were injured, one of them seriously, when an alleged Israeli quadcopter hit Kamal Adwan Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip. The most seriously injured medical professional was taken in critical condition to the operating room shortly after the incident; it is not clear whether he survived his wounds. The victims have not yet been identified.

Information about the incident first appeared in the morning on Tuesday, 3rd December 2024, including in a Facebook post made by Al Jazeera Egypt at 11 a.m., which warned that the Israeli army had intensified targeting the hospitals of the sector, especially the Kamal Adwan Hospital in the north. Al-Quds Channel also corroborated this information, reporting, “Director of Kamal Adwan Hospital: Israeli quadcopters are dropping bombs on the hospital.”

Shortly after that, in the mid-afternoon, Facebook user Mohammed Al-Sharif made a Facebook post thanking God that he was able to survive the bombing of Kamal Adwan Hospital, which occurred just a yard away.

Later that evening, several News outlets, including Al Jazeera Jordan, AJ Arabic and Safa News, reported on the incident, citing three injuries as a result of the bombs which hit the Hospital. The Director of the Kamal Adwan Hospital, Dr. Hussam Abu Safia, spoke to the press shortly after the incident. A post made by A J Arabic, quoting Dr. Hussam Abu Safia, reported casualties and damage to medical equipment. He urged, “There is no justification for the occupation to target the hospital”. In his statement, shared by X/Twitter user aidroosalhomidehe, he noted that this was the fifth time Kamal Adwan Hospital had been targeted. He warned that “the situation has become extremely dangerous,” stating that three medical staff were injured, one of whom is undergoing complex surgery as a result of his injuries. In a heartfelt message, he proclaimed, “We are exhausted by the ongoing violence and atrocities. Why are we subjected to such brutality? Every day, the hospital is systematically targeted.”.

The incident occurred in the morning.

Where sources identified a belligerent, all sources attributed the incident to Israeli Forces.
