Airwars assessment
On October 29, 2023, the Hassan family home, consisting of two residential buildings on Street 10 in the Al-Zaytoun neighbourhood of Gaza City, was bombed in an alleged Israeli airstrike. According to reports, one of the multistorey buildings – consisting of more than seven floors – was struck “over the heads of its residents.” Posts on social media showed the top floors of the building on fire with debris scattered on the street below. Although there are no exact numbers of those affected, nor information on their identities, multiple sources stated that “a number” of people were killed and injured in the incident. As such, as per Airwars’ methodology, the number of victims has been recorded as two. This assessment will be updated if more information emerges.
Where sources identified a belligerent, all sources attributed the strike to Israeli forces.
The local time of the incident is unknown.
