On October 8th, 2024, Ahmed Nasser al-Barai was killed and several others were injured when an alleged Israeli bombardment hit an area close to al-Awda hospital in the Tel al-Zaatar neighborhood of Jabalia Refugee Camp in the northern Gaza Strip.

Shehab Agency was the first to report the incident on Twitter/X at 2:26 PM. Posting on social media, several news outlets, including North Gaza news and Anin Al-Quds News Network, reported several injuries and one death, identifying the victims as Ahmed Nasser al-Barai. Posting on Twitter, Shehab Agency reported that the victims were taken to al-Awda hospital for treatment immediately after the attack. Quds Network reported that one victim was in “critical condition.”

While several news outlets reported the incident, most sources repeated the same information and provided no additional information on the victim. Therefore, this incident’s civilian harm status has been graded as “weak.”
