Airwars assessment
A number of Palestinian civilians were reportedly killed and injured in an alleged Israeli airstrike on the al-Nakheel Hall, surrounding homes and a nearby school in the vicinity of the Indonesian Hospital in the North Gaza Governorate shortly before 5:23 PM on Friday 3rd November 2023. According to sources, such as Nidal Qadour al-Hisab al-Ehtyati, writing on Facebook, the al-Nakheel Hall was housing internally displaced families at the time of the incident.
The available sources did not indicate the exact number of people killed and injured in the incident. For example, the journalist Ahmed Qudieh, writing on Facebook, reported that “a number of citizens were killed and injured in the bombing”, whilst other sources, including the Quds News Network, suggested that the number reached “dozens”. In the absence of further detail, the potential numbers of civilian deaths and injuries as a result of the alleged strike have been recorded as 2-24, respectively.
US-based Khabar24 News further alleged that the strike had resulted in “injuries among displaced people in a nearby school.”
Meanwhile, Noura Salah, in another Facebook post, reported that smoke bombs were involved in the incident, and that as a result smoke from the strike had reached the grounds of the Indonesian Hospital.
Where sources identified the belligerent, sources attributed the strike to the Israeli military.
The incident occured at approximately 5:23 pm local time.
