Airwars assessment
On Saturday, November 4, 2023, an alleged Israeli airstrike reportedly struck a house in the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip, resulting in multiple fatalities and injuries. Names and other identifying details of the victims were not publicly disclosed, nor was the severity of the injuries reported.
On Twitter/X, Shehab Agency claimed the attack damaged an “uninhabited house” and resulted in “martyrs and wounded”. Masdr al Ikhbaria, @Tufan_ALaqssa, and Mero Mohamdy also reported people killed and injured at the scene but did not specify the number of casualties. There were no details on the alleged victims, though this assessment will be updated if further details emerge.
Several sources, such as Ibrahem Elian and Press Abeer Albanna, identified the house as belonging to Abu Marwan Nofal and the Nofal family, located on National Bank Street in the Nuseirat refugee camp. In contrast, Rasd Al-Maidan Channel and other outlets referred to a house “east of the Nuseirat camp”.
The time of the incident is unknown, but the earliest report from 1:39 a.m. (local time) suggests it likely occurred overnight.
Where sources identified a belligerent, all sources attributed the strike to Israeli forces.
The local time of the incident is unknown.
