Airwars Assessment
During the morning of Monday, June 9, 2025, between 16 and 31 civilians were injured by alleged Israeli gunfire and bombs dropped by quadcopters on a gathering of civilians near the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation aid distribution point in the vicinity of the Al-Da’wa area in Nuseirat near the Netzarim checkpoint in the central Gaza Strip.
Updates from Safa News showed that the injury toll steadily increased from 2 at 4.20am to 31 by 7.07am as victims arrived at al-Awda Hospital in Nuseirat. Multiple other local sources quoted various casualty tolls reported by al-Awda. Journalist Saher Al-Aqraa confirmed that “at least 16 civilians were injured by gunfire and bombs dropped” on the crowds awaiting aid.
A video reposted by Al-Arabiya TV from @ehab_nuor with the caption “The moment of shooting at citizens while trying to reach aid from its center in Netzarim axis” shows two men hiding under a concrete block as hundreds of people run with gunshots heard in the background.
There were few details on the identities of the victims. This assessment will be updated if more information emerges.
Where sources named a belligerent, all sources claimed the Israeli military was responsible.
Geolocation indicates GHF proximity.
