On Wednesday, October 9th, 2024, two civilians were reportedly killed as a result of an alleged Israeli airstrike on the Jabalia Refugee Camp, located in the northern Gaza Strip. All sources agreed that the strike reportedly occurred opposite the Al Fakhoura school.
Several sources, including Safa PS and Facebook users Ahmed Salha, Abo Sameh Abo Mashaiekh, and Al Akhbar Al Ajela, quoted the Civil Defense who “retrieved two martyrs after an Israeli attack on citizens opposite Al-Fakhoura school,” with casualties subsequently transferred to Kamal Adwan Hospital.
All sources indicated that two individuals were killed in the incident. No further information regarding the identity of the deceased was provided, and none of the sources mentioned injuries.
Regarding the form of attack, most sources referred to an “attack” or that the civilians were “targeted.” In contrast, one source, Hai Al Zaitoun, specifically reported on the event as “Israeli shelling.”
Where sources identified a belligerent, all sources attributed the attack to the Israeli military. Several sources, including Facebook users Al Akhbar Al Ajela and Nashet Ghazawi, referred to an “Israeli attack.”
The incident occured at approximately 12:19 pm local time.

Reports of the incident mention the vicinity of Al Fakhoura school (مدرسة الفاخورة) in the Jabalia camp (مخيم جباليا), for which the generic coordinates are: 31.542307, 34.495157. Due to limited satellite imagery and information available to Airwars, we were unable to verify the location further.
