Around 6:45 PM on Wednesday, October 9th, 2024, several injuries and deaths among civilians were reported following an alleged Israeli artillery strike at the Fatima Bint Asad School located in Jabalia al-Balad, in North Gaza, the Gaza Strip.
While several sources reported the incident affecting Palestinian displaced civilians sheltered at the Fatima Bint Asad School in the Jabalia Refugee Camp, the victims remain unidentified, and no exact number has been provided regarding the number of injuries and deaths.
Twitter/X users @Sa7atPlBreaking, @Qudsn_Brk and @OsamaDmour5 reported the incident in the time interval 6:43-6:45 PM.
Twitter/X users @AnasAlSharif0 and @islambader_1988 wrote that casualties resulted from artillery shelling while @Sa7atPlBreaking claimed that a “sound bomb” was used.
Where sources identified the belligerent, all sources attributed the strike to the Israeli military.
The incident occured at approximately 6:00 pm local time.
