Airwars Assessment
Shortly before 12:18 PM on the 8th of November of 2023, injuries were reported resulting from an alleged airstrike by the Israeli military on the Al-Khulafa neighbourhood in the middle of Jabalia camp located in the northern part of the Gaza Strip.
Shehab Agency was among the first to report the incident at 12:24 PM, writing about injuries resulting from it. Twitter/X user @PalpostN reported even earlier, at 12:18 PM. According to the Interior Ministry in Gaza, the alleged airstrike hit a house belonging to the Awida family, located in the Jabalia camp, causing injuries. Multiple social media users reported the same information. The Awida family was also called the “Owaidah” family by @ShehabAgency.
All sources that attributed responsibility for the airstrike identified Israeli forces as responsible. Due to the repetitive nature of the information provided by the sources and the lack of information on the victims, Airwards graded the “civilian harm status” of the incident as “weak”.
