During the afternoon of Wednesday, 13th October 2024, civilians were injured by an alleged Israeli bombing of the Hafsa school in Fallujah, within the Jabalia Refugee Camp in North Gaza. The school had been sheltering internally displaced people, with the victims taken to the Kamal Adwan Hospital at 14:26, according to Safa News. Initial reports cited a number of injuries, but the exact number is not yet known and the victims’ identities have not yet been found among sources.
Visual documentation of the aftermath of the reported Israeli bombing depicted Civil Defence rescue workers hurriedly carrying a stretcher holding an injured civilian away from the site of the explosion.
Sources have not yet confirmed the precise cause of the incident and whether the strike was due to Israeli artillery shelling or airstrikes, with accounts such as Seif al Bahri via Facebook, referring to “[Israeli] bombing”.
Where sources identified a belligerent, all sources attributed the strike to Israeli forces.

Reports of the incident show the vicinity of the Shadiya Abu Ghazala School (مدرسة شادية أبو غزالة) in the Fallujah neighbourhood (حي الفالوجا), for which the generic coordinates are: 31.537873, 34.489297. Due to limited satellite imagery and information available to Airwars, we were unable to verify the location further.
