On October 17, 2025, at least three civilians were reportedly injured by alleged Israeli gunfire in the motorcycle market area of Moraj, located south of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip.
According to multiple local news agencies and social media reports, including @ShehabAgency, @PalinfoAr, and @AlQastalps, Israeli forces opened fire in the area surrounding the motorcycle market near Moraj, resulting in three civilian injuries. The Palestinian Civil Defense reported evacuating the injured from the scene, with coordination from a humanitarian organization. Video footage shared by @AlQastalps documented the transportation of two young male victims by ambulance from the scene. The victims were dressed in casual clothes, one in jeans and a blue shirt, and another in yellow. However, the identities and ages of the injured civilians were not found among local sources.
Sources such as @Star of Pease and @Hani Mostafa noted concurrent artillery and smoke shelling east of Khan Younis towards Bani Suheila on the same day, suggesting a broader military engagement in the area. It is unclear if this artillery fire was directly related to the injuries at Moraj or if they occurred in overlapping but separate events.
All sources that identified a belligerent attributed the strike to Israeli forces.
