On Tuesday, March 18, 2025, in the al-Geneina neighbourhood in Rafah, at least three civilians were injured in an alleged Israeli ground attack on two different locations – the Zyadeh family house and on the street.

A video uploaded by Aya Yousef on Facebook includes the sounds of what appear to be gunshots. The video is filmed by someone in a van, showing many others in the back of the vehicle. Several people, including children, are shown running. The car has a damaged windscreen from what seems to be a bullet and the surroundings show rubble and debris in a residential neighbourhood. The citizens are directing the driver of a vehicle to avoid being shot. According to the post’s author, three civilians were injured in this attack.

Mustafa Zyadeh posted that the house of his cousin, Rajeb Zyadeh, located behind Abu Taha Station in the al-Geneina neighbourhood, was “targeted” and a group of his family members were seriously injured.

Where sources identified the belligerent, all sources attributed the strike to the Israeli military.
