A Palestinian fisherman, Khaled Tawfiq Sobh, was injured when Israeli naval forces opened fire near the Nuseirat Refugee Camp in central Gaza on Monday morning, April 21, 2025. The shooting occurred at approximately 8:57 a.m. according to initial reports.
Safa News reported that the fisherman was shot and injured by Israeli naval forces west of the Nuseirat Refugee Camp.
Several media outlets, including PalinfoAr, paldf, and Sa7atPlBreaking, reported on Twitter/X and Facebook: “Fisherman Khaled Tawfiq Sobh was injured by Israeli gunfire west of the Nuseirat Refugee Camp in the central Gaza Strip.” Sources added that Khaled is a resident of al-Shatea, another refugee camp located near the coast.
Mohamed Sobh, possibly a relative of the victim, shared news of Khaled’s injury on Facebook with attached photos of him receiving medical care. The images showed Khaled lying on a hospital bed with wounds on the right side of his chest, with medical personnel attaching a drainage tube to the wound.
