Two people, one of them Ramiz Madhat Abu Ajina “Abu Madhat”, were killed by an alleged Israeli quadcopter drone that fired shots at a school housing displaced people in Deir Al Balah on August 22nd, 2024.

Multiple sources– Sa7atPIBreaking, AJA Palestine, Voice of Palestine Radio, and Naimat Alsalam–reported the alleged killing of the two individuals, with Mohamed Awad reporting that Ramzi Abu Ajina died of his injuries after the quadcopter drone shot him in the head.

Images shared on social media show people gathered around the place after the alleged firing from the Israeli Quadcopter drone.

A young man, Ramzi Madhat Abu Ajina, known affectionately as “Abu Madhat”, was remembered as a “kind-hearted man.” According to posts shared on social media, he was remembered for his dedication to congregational and Fajr prayers, with friends and family noting his presence in religious gatherings and his frequent recitations of the Qur’an. One post from Tamer Abu Ajina stressed: “We bear witness to your noble morals and your commitment to congregational prayer, especially Fajr prayer, and remembrance circles and recitation of the Qur’an. You have always been a [person of] goodness and a supporter of the truth…”

Another friend, Ramy Hammad Abu Moawwad, remembered Ramzi as “one of the most honorable and committed young men.” Attached to the post was a photograph of Ramzi, wearing a suit and smiling. A colleague, Abu Osama, memorialized Ramzi as “humble in heart and chaste in tongue.” With his death, friend Jamal A Aldhnoon wrote, Ramzi “broke our hearts.”

On August 22nd, 2024, AlloLiberte posted a video on ‘X’, formerly Twitter, depicting the farewell to Abu Ajina’s body from Al Aqsa Hospital.

At the time of the report, there is no information regarding the name of the second individual killed alongside Ramzi Madhat Abu Ajina. The reports consistently mention two deaths, but only identified Ramzi by name.
