Airwars assessment
On July 24 2024, an alleged Israeli military shooting injured a number of people. The incident occurred at the centre of Khan Younis, close to the Abu Hamid roundabout in the city centre, and was reported by eight sources. Among these sources were the Safa News Agency and the social media agency, Echo of the Country (Sada Al-Balad).
The exact identities and number of the injured victims are not yet known. Sources mention Israeli “fire” translated from Arabic to be a shooting as the cause of the injuries. This assessment will be updated if more information emerges.
Where sources identified a belligerent, all sources attributed the bombing to Israeli forces.
The local time of the incident is unknown.

Reports of the incident mention the vicinity of the Abu Hamid roundabout (دوار أبو حميد) in the centre of Khan Younis (خان يونس), for which the generic coordinates are: 31.343464, 34.307952. Due to limited satellite imagery and information available to Airwars, we were unable to verify the location further.
