One militant was killed and three people were reported injured in an alleged Israeli drone strike in the Al-Manara neighborhood, east of Khan Yunis, Gaza on May 10th 2021, according to multiple sources. Sources were conflicted as to whether the injured people were civilians or militants.

Ashraf Al-Qidra, the spokesman for the Ministry of Health in Gaza, told the Safa Press Agency that Salim Al-Farra died after being targeted by a drone. New Palestine and Nada Al-Watan, said Mr Al-Farra, 37, died of wounds he sustained after a group of citizens were targetted.

Mr. Al-Farra was pronounced dead at 4:20 am the following day, according to Al Mezan.

In a Telegram channel, run by the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade, it was revealed that Salim Muhammad Al-Farra “Abu Al-Bara” had been the commander of a missile unit in the Khan Yunis Brigade.

Al Mezan and the Palestinian Centre for Human Rights said that three additional people were injured in the strike. The Shms News Agency, which referred to them as civilians,  said they were taken to the Nasser Medical Complex for treatment. Al Haq reported that all three were members of the Palestinian resistance movement.

The website, Felesteen, quoted informed sources saying the bombing was a failed assassination attempt on one of the leaders of the Palestinian resistance.

The incident occurred at 22:15 local time.
