One civilian was reportedly killed and three others injured during alleged Israeli forces airstrikes in Sheikh Radwan, Gaza in the evening of May 15th 2021.
The civilian killed in the attack was reported to be Saeed Khaled Abu Ghalioun. Most sources said he was 30 years old – although several placed his age younger, at either 26 or 27.
Multiple reports said the alleged strike took place at 6.50pm local time, close to Mr Ghalioun’s home on Al-Ayoun Street. The vehicle itself was a family saloon, images from the scene showed – with some sources describing it as a taxi and others as a personal vehicle.
While almost all sources suggested Mr Ghalioun was in the vehicle, Al Haq reported that “a dark blue Flux vehicle [was destroyed] killing Saeed Khaled Saeed Abu Ghalyoun, 26 as he stood near the Al-Shorouk hall in Gaza City.”
The body of the victim was later transferred to the Al-Shifa Medical Complex, in west Gaza.
The victim’s relative Abu Esam Abu Ghalioun later posted the following condolence message: “Our deepest condolences to my cousin Khaled Abu Ghalioun on the martyrdom of his young son Saeed Khaled Abu Ghalioun in a direct targeting of his car on Al-Jalaa Street in Gaza City. We count him as a martyr with God, and we do not recommend anyone over God.”
