As many as 12 people were killed, including eight civilians and four miltants, when alleged US airstrikes hit Deegan.

A vehicle was reportedly destroyed in the strike and either three locals, four suspected Haqqani militants, or ‘five people‘ were reportedly killed.

Five local welfare workers were also reported killed when a second vehicle was apparently struck.

The Nation reported, “One of the missiles reportedly hit a vehicle carrying five local welfare workers and all of them were said to be killed. There are also reports saying at least four foreign militants belonging to Hafiz Gulbahbdur group were killed in the strike.”
