An alleged US drone fired two missiles at a car in Spalaga, north Waziristan, killing three to four people, international and local news reported, though it was unclear whether civilians were among the killed.

Several claimed that the killed were “rebels” or “militants.” For example, South Asia Terrorism Portal (SATP) reported the death of “four Haqqani Network militants of Afghan nationality.”

Meanwhile, two sources, GeoTV and Xinhua did not describe the fatalities as militants, suggesting possible civilian harm arising from the event.

Xinhua, for example, reported that “the killed were not immediately identified but locals said they were village residents.”
