A van was destroyed and as many as seven people were killed as an alleged US drone strike hit Mir Ali, north Waziristan, local and international media reported.

Sources reported between four and six fatalties following the strike, though it was not immediately clear whether they were all militants, or whether if civilians were among.

Some reports namely described the killed as “people” rather than militants, like other reports, hereof many who said that the killed were “foreigners.”

However, an internal Pakistani record of drone strikes, published by the Bureau of Investigative Journalism in January 2014, said all seven dead were Uzbeks.
