A suspected US drone fired two missiles at a vehicle in Machis, north Waziristan, killing up to six militants and wounding another three, local and international media reported.

A car parked next to a house and carrying alleged militants was attacked, it was reported. The Long War Journal reported how “the deadly unmanned Predators and Reapers strike aircraft targeted a vehicle inside a compound run by the Haqqani Network in Machis.”

A local official added that “the compound, being frequented by militants recently, was also destroyed in the attack,” as cited by Dawn.

According to reports, between four and six militants were killed, while three, also suspected militants, were left injured.

All known sources said that US drones carried out the strike.
