According to local and international sources, an alleged US-waged airstrike in Inzarkas, Datta Khel, north Waziristan, killed at least five but as many as 20 people – possibly including civilians – though many sources claimed that at least ten were militants.

Reportedly, the house of Awar Gul was “completely destroyed” in the alleged CIA drone strike and most agencies reported that ten alleged militants had been killed.

However, an anonymous Pakistani intelligence officer told South Asia News that four of those killed were civilians. And in January 2014 a secret Pakistani record of drone strikes, published by the Bureau of Investigative Journalism, said five people were killed, all listed as “local.”

And finally, Xinhua reported that ten “people” were killed along with three injured, and thus also not excluding that civilians may were among the victims.

All known sources agreed that the strike was carried out by a US drone.
