Airwars assessment
On March 12th 2022 alleged Russian forces shelled Sharykova Street in the industrial district of Kharkiv, reportedly hitting an ambulance and injuring one health worker.
Suspilnekharkiv reported on Telegram that “an ambulance paramedic recieved a shrapnel wound in the adomen” when “the brigade came under fire on Sharykova Street.”
The director of the Center for Emergency Medical Assistance Victor Zabashta reported on Telegram, “after serving the call, they got into the car and an explosion rang out. A piece of debris hit the car and wounded a 48-year old paramedic in the abdomen. The driver went to the nearest specialised hospital – this is the 17th hospital, where the woman was immediately taken to the operating room and operated on, her life is not in danger. The condition is of medium severity.”
