Sources reported two civilians killed, a 38 year old man and 63 year old woman and five others injured according when Chuguiv was hit by alleged Russian shelling at night on April 4 2022. The attack resulted in the total destruction of one private house and damage to a multi-story residential building opposite. Later reporting found that more buildings had been destroyed than initially thought but a number was not specified, according to the Kharkiv Human Rights Protection Group report.
The Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported that an investigation had been launched into the attack based on the violation of the laws and customs of war as well as intentional murder, part two article 438 of the criminal code of Ukraine.
A video posted on telegram by XC_Kharkiv showed that windows had been blown out in a nine-story building opposite the private house where the rocket had struck. A car was also badly damaged in the attack.
An image posted by Suspilne News shows a man receiving treatment for injuries he reportedly sustained in Chuguiv.
Posts on telegram from Russian sources reported that Russia had struck what it claimed to be military targets in Chuguiv using high precision air launch missiles. Multiple posts on telegram of a similar format claimed to have destroyed a command post of the territorial defence unit in Chuguiv, their fuel storage and a plant for the repair of armoured vehicles. This seems to contradict the photos and videos from the scene.

Reports of the incident mention the city of Chuhuiv (Чугуїв), for which the generic coordinates are: 49.836177, 36.680853. Due to limited satellite imagery and information available to Airwars, we were unable to verify the location further.
