Local sources reported on a shelling of Kharkiv on April 13th, 2022 was allegedly conducted by Russian forces, resulting in three civilians killed, including a woman and two men, and four others wounded, including a child.
According to the Helsinki.org.ua, the bombing began during the day when many people were out buying food or receiving humanitarian aid, with Kharkiv News explaining that the strike was during the afternoon. Suspilne News was informed by the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s office representative Dmitry Chubenko that a 65 year old woman was killed, as were two men, aged 20 and 30. Among the four wounded was a 17 year as well as a 75 year old.
Objectiv News stated that the “shells of the occupiers, as always, hit civilian objects”, including residential high-rise buildings. Inkorr News offered more information about Russian forces, saying that Russian forces were using what was called a “people’s militia” to fire upon civilian locations. Helsinki.org.ua also mentioned that cluster munitions were used during the shelling.
