Airwars assessment
Russian forces allegedly shelled the city of Kotliary on April 28, 2022, killing a 53 year old man and wounding a woman. Kharkiv Human Rights Protection Group and Suspilne Kharkiv via Telegram both stated that the shelling lasted roughly twelve hours.
Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office announced that a criminal investigation had been launched into the death of the 53 year old man and the injury of the local resident.
Telegram user Kharkiv Life reported that the shelling began at noon and the attack destroyed many residential buildings. The National Guard of Ukraine reported that the Russian strike also bombed a cemetery in Kotlkiary with cluster bombs.

Reports of the incident mention the village of Kotliary (Котляри), for which the generic coordinates are: 49.910286, 36.302336. Due to limited satellite imagery and information available to Airwars, we were unable to verify the location further.
